Went to see SYLVIA at the @oldvictheatre last night with my @leenanorms. It was absolutely smashing! It’s a hip hop musical about the suffragettes and the fight within the movement between getting women the vote, ANY WOMAN (read: upper/middle class), and getting EVERY WOMAN the vote. The choreography was incredible, there were some great comic relief characters (Churchill) and it was just so good.
The Prince of Wales today visited the @oldvictheatre to mark its 200th anniversary. #OV200 The Prince, who is the theatre’s Royal Patron, spoke to the Education & Community team who have been partnering with his @princestrust. The partnership includes work placements at the theatre for young people taking part in The Prince’s Trust’s Get Hired projects and front of house training.
We are very sad to hear of the loss of Albert Finney. His performances in plays by Shakespeare, Chekhov and other iconic playwrights throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s stand apart as some of the greatest in our 200 year history.
Pic 1 to 3... @oldvictheatre onstercalls Was azing! Not just because of the content. The direction, the performance, the crew and theatricality. I have no words. I bawled my eyes out and I haven't been affected by a play as much as this ever. A must see. A heart beat. A life told @adcox1987 I so proud of you. #ovmonster#actress#theatre#mustsee ❤
Dearest Michael, What a great honour it was to cross paths and share the stage with you. An extremely kind, cheeky, fun, loving man and an extraordinary, generous actor. You will be greatly missed dear friend. May your journey across the seas be filled with love. ♥️#MichaelThomas#TheCrucible#theoldvictheatre
