This week has definitely been way out of my normal routine, started my Rehab Therapy Tech job at the hospital and am scheduled 40 hours this week on top of my regular part time hours at my other job (vitamin shoppe), this definitely conflicts with my studying since I also have two exams this week but all I can do is grind through it, sleep less, and keep a motivated mentality, train your mind to use anxiety symptoms as signals for your body to prepare for a challenge that’s incoming which you can conquer, having this mindset will help you overcome the chance of having a mental breakdown and cracking under the pressure! (One of the best things I learned from sports psychology class 2 years ago 👌)

Lets talk about natty vs enhanced in terms of realistic expectations in body composition and training: Social media can be very deceiving as you get a lot of people who are natural following the diet plans and training programs of people they look up to who are mostly enhanced and also have better genetics in general. Genetics and exogenous hormones play a huge role in physique gains as well as performance due to the enhanced DNA transcription and translation, as well as some steroids or fat burning agents (clen, thyroid hormones, ephedrine etc) increasing basal metabolic rate, nutrient partitioning, and enhancing lipolysis which allows individuals to eat higher calories and maintain weight/leanness and even get leaner while growing. The main point is that if you’re natural never compare yourself to individuals who are enhanced and expect to get the results that they achieve because there are many factors that come into play besides a basic Bro training program and macros. I believe the best way to train for a natural is to research online about periodization training which allows for blocks during the year where you focus on strength training, hypertrophy, power etc by manipulating variables such as (volume, intensity, frequency, mode, and duration) and as far as physique gain for naturals I also believe that staying in a caloric surplus for longer than 6 months and optimally a year or more with some mini cuts here and there to maintain a solid body composition is the best way to go. So don’t be scared to put on some fluff because you’ll be maximizing muscle gain and performance while you bulk for a prolonged period, and it’s winter so just hide in hoodies ❄️
