Hello les amis 🌸 Voilà aujourd’hui journée finie à +-2116 kcal avec entrée plat et dessert au resto 🙄 C’était pas du tout prévu donc je n’ai pas su adapter mes repas de la journée! When’s the last time you truly took a breath?⠀ ⠀ Slowed down?⠀ Stopped what you were doing to look around?⠀ Acknowledged what your body truly needs?⠀ Took some time for yourself?⠀ ⠀ It’s so easy to get lost in the endless cycle and noise of trying to meet everyone’s needs, of overextension. ⠀ ⠀ Pushing yourself way past your limit because you have this itch that you need to solve everyone’s problems. ⠀ ⠀ That you absolutely need to go out on a Friday night since “That’s what what everyone does!” when deep down you want nothing more than time to unwind and relax. ⠀ ⠀ For me this is especially hard. Living in a city like SF (while great beyond words) takes a tole on my body and mental fortitude...and last week I over did it so much I got disgustingly sick (sorry @intuitivesoulcircle 😅) It’s as if my brain and my body are fighting and pursuing different paths. ⠀ ⠀ In my mind it sounds great - go out all the time, work out every morning before the long work day, meet up with as many friends as possible. Cuz hey that’s what your mid 20s are all about! Go go go. Work hard, play hard right?⠀ ⠀ But my body has needs that are at a stark contrast of what I think I should be doing. A crave to slow down, to spend time around nature, and to have a quiet place where I can recharge and reset, to pause and reflect and take time for myself. ⠀ ⠀ I challenge you to take some time for yourself this week and watch as you begin to come more in tune with who you are. It always starts with that first conscious breath. ⠀ ⠀ What are your go to “me time” activities?⬇️⠀
