Majority of the people seeking to lose weight have fallen for the idea that you need to count calories in order to cut off extra pounds. Whilst there is some truth to that, and calorie setting could be a good starting point for weight loss, the main problem is that you will never be able to measure out the calories expended by a person in a given scenario due to differences in individual metabolic rates, differences in hormonal balances, sensitivity to insulin (which Ill be covering in detail in my upcoming posts), and several other factors. Other than that, counting calories can become an overly hectic task and would seem unrealistic in the long run. People who tend to use the calorie method to lose weight often end up developing eating disorders due to the obsession they create with counting calories. Ideally, the best diet is the one where you are satiated without having the need to count your calories. This can only be achieved through eating whole real foods majority of the time. #beyourbestself

I admire a lot of people. People who stand up for what they believe in. People who aren't afraid to be themselves. People who struggle yet continue on. People who manage all the things. People who admit to being a hot mess. People who are kind and compassionate. People who work hard. People who are unapologetic for their success. People who follow their dreams. People who help. People who set good examples. . . I could go on and on with this list because I'm fascinated by people and how we work. How different we all are and how we manage to mostly exist harmoniously. But there is one person who I admire the most because she taught me about all of the things on my list above. She encouraged me the most and even though she's gone now, I still hear her in my head and rely on her for guidance. My grandmother was my biggest cheerleader and she encouraged me to be my best self. She embodied all of these traits and more. I'm so grateful for her and her encouragement throughout my life. . . Can I be honest for a second? I’m in a REALLY bad mood right now. Emma had a rough night, ended up in our bed, and was up for the day at 4:45am. 😴 . We have done all of the sleep training things. She is on a schedule and yet, sometimes, we still have really bad nights. 🙄 . I’m super cranky and need to cheer myself up. So today, I’m choosing to be positive, happy, and fun! 🤗 . @brendonburchard says that it is as easy as choosing three words that we want to show up as and then just being that all day. 🙃 . Ummm hiiii 👋 YES YOU!!! Our diet bet pot is up to $1,525 why haven't you joined us yet???? Because you totally should! Unless you don't have 4% of your body weight to lose, then definitely do not join us. And before you ask, yeah I do have that to lose because I've been eating like a college kid with an unlimited meal plan on the weekends recently 🤦 So if you have that weight to lose, need motivation to help you do it, and would like to win some cash for doing so then you've come to the right girl.
