A haemorraghic stroke occures when a weakened blood vessel ruptures and bleeds into the surrounding brain. In Singapore, the incidence of haemorrhagic stroke in Singapore is 18-24% - twice that of the US! Treatment is limited and severe cases require brain surgery. Researchers Dr Nicolas Kon from the National Neuroscience Institute and Assoc Prof Michael Lucas James from Duke University are now testing a protein-based drug that reduces inflammation in the brain after injury. This holds promise for haemorrhagic stroke as it is non-invasive, carries lower risk and may improve treatment outcomes. The local trial has started recruiting patients from @sghseen and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. If it works, it’d be the first trial that’s run congruently in Singapore and the US, and will bring about the first therapeutic drug for haemorrhagic stroke

Intro into Underpaid Anesthesia Claims. As of April 2018, BCBS's, UHC's, Cigna's and Aetna's majority of the Out of Network claims are Underpaid upon primary processing, creating a large pool of recoverable, yearly income of +/- 20%. In order to be financially successful and maximize the collection of those funds, Revenue Cycle operations must be precise, efficient and effective. Being able to identify and group sets of Underpaid claims and to apply proper methods, is essential to healthy financial year to year performance of Independent Anesthesia groups in Texas. @doctor.anesthesia@anesthesiology5054@anesthesiaislife@asa_hq@anesthesiagram@united_anesthesia_partners@dfwbariatric@asa_hq #brainsurgery
