So many projects going on, it's hard to keep track! Here's some progress on our entryway door. Pat was in the middle of cutting some saved antique glass to size to replace the broken panes. The new muntins have been glued in and dyed to match the old wood... Still a ways to go ☺️ . . . #doorrestoration

Looking at the front door... When we first visited what would be our home two years ago... it took over a year to close...there were very few original details left in the home. The few details/items that were left, we worked really had to salvage. One of them was the front door. It was beaten up pretty badly, numerous coats of paint and the side panels had cracked glass. Our construction crew (Alefa Contracting) was able to strip the door, sand it down and clean the hardware. As of today, we are in the process of repairing the side panels. It appears we will have to get glass custom made for each small pane, as it wasn't one big piece of glass with the frame on top as we thought.☹ We havent decided on a color for the door yet...as we hope to do so in the Spring when we paint the exterior of the house. However, we wouldn't mind keeping it in its "raw" state and adding a new glass exterior door over that. The Clifton...forever a work in progreswe love it. 😎 #doorrestoration
