πŸ‘ BABY GOT BACK πŸ‘ Glutes, glutes, glutes.... most want to shrink them, some want to enlarge them. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Did you know that there are 3 seperate muscles in the gluteal group? And did you know how important glute strength is to global body and postural function? Your glutes provide; πŸ‘ Hip stability πŸ‘ Pelvic stability πŸ‘ Hip movements (extension, abduction, external rotation, internal rotation) πŸ‘ Lower back stability πŸ‘ Form part of the team of your β€œcore” of the hip joint. πŸ‘ Postural strength πŸ‘ Balance ... plus many others. Glute weakness or dysfunction can be a precursor for many potential injuries, strains & movement deficiencies. I include some form of glute strength exercises for nearly all of my patients. Such an important part of a program. Have yourself assessed if you think a glute dysfunction is contributing to your symptoms. . . . . . . . #gluteals

Banded exercises are a great way to strengthen and stabilize the hips. These exercises will give you a nice burn in the gluteals and help stabilize the hip region. The gluteal muscles help stabilize the pelvis and keep your hips and knees aligned. They are responsible for maintaining neutral pelvic alignment, especially during single leg stance movements like when landing and taking off with running. If you are sitting for the majority of your day, it is likely that your gluteals are largely inactive. When your gluteals are not firing properly, your body does a good job of compensating, which translates to other muscle groups being forced to work harder than intended, leading to injuries. Strengthening the gluteals 3xweek will ensure optimal performance and injury prevention. #gluteals
