What if.... ...I started my fitness journey earlier ...I had thought about my health sooner ...I decided to be more positive ...I put a little more effort into everything I do "What if", can be a killer! Instead of saying "What if...", why not decide to take the action today so the What if is out of the equation. Start today and say, I will... ...start my fitness journey today ...take actions today for a healthier tomorrow ...be more positive ...put more effort into everything I do Then you will reap the rewards of a happier, healthier YOU! Through this post I’ll explain why your body needs each macronutrient post workout + some snack ideas to get those nutrients in. . . Protein: consuming protein post workout provides the body with amino acids that help repair & rebuild muscle. πŸ— . . Fats: some people believe that fats should be avoided after a workout since they take longer to digest, and may slow down the absorption of the other macros the body needs post workout. Anyhow, I believe that you can include fats in your post workout snack as long as you take into account portion control. πŸ₯‘ . . Carbs: these are the main source of energy of the body uses during exercise, so it’s very important to replenish your glycogen stores through your post workout snack. 🍌 . . Post-workout snack ideas:πŸ‘‡πŸΌ . . -Oatmeal protein pancakes πŸ₯ž -Plain greek yogurt + homemade granola + nut butter πŸ₯£ -Whole grain avocado toast + hard boiled egg 🍳 -Protein shake (my favorite brand is @saschafitnessmarket ) with frozen fruit & nut butter πŸ₯€ . . "Because of Fit3 I am 32 lbs lighter. I am physically stronger and feel better about the way I look! The Fit3 program and products have lessened my food cravings, making it easier to make healthier choices than I used to. I used to wake up thinking about food and would immediately find something to snack on, but that is no longer an issue! I have also started exercising which I hadn’t done in years! It feels great to be more active and able to do things with more ease and not get tired as quickly."
