As I was laying there and trying to force this to happen, the thought hit me that that is a really good metaphor for life. When practicing yoga remember to listen. Don't force yourself into a pose! Forcing the body into position can injure the cartilage or ligaments. Use common sense and listen to your body! Many times we just want quick results. Not only we can injure ourselves but it will even set us back. We also become attached to our goals and forget to enjoy the moment. I would like to share with you my experience. I used to push myself to my limits and work really hard on improving my flexibility. Rather than taking a lunch break, I used to prefer to stay hungry and work on my splits. 😂 It didn't even help me that much but created more energetic blocks and stress in my body. Later on, I just switched my approach. One Chinese proverb says: "If you have difficulty reaching your goal, keep the goal, but change your strategy". And so I did. Instead of forcing myself, I learned how to let go and how to be gentle. The results came along shortly after. Instead of forcing yourself, focus on sticking to a consistent practice. You will get more results by practicing daily, even if it's only 10 minutes. _ Wearing @liquidoactive _ .
