By eating blueberries we get these powerful phytonutrients that act as antioxidants, one of the benefits being a decrease in inflammation in the body. In all my years as an organic farmer and advocate for regenerative, organic agriculture, Monsanto has never once published a single peer-reviewed article demonstrating that GMO’s are healthy or even safe to eat. They have, instead, focused on discrediting and destroying the careers of any scientist publishing research that questions the safety of GMO consumption. Recent studies coming out of the UK, however, are offering more proof that there are, in fact, significant differences between naturally grown crops and GMOs and not all of them are benign. "Be Proud of Who You Are" ❤ February 23, 2016 🥗 It was at this time that I was really getting into this lifestyle, Grassfed was an idea spread throughout several notebooks and a stack of sticky notes.. I had quit college and began @justkeepjunkin to have some income while I planned the next step. These were the typical meals while I taught myself how to cook cleaner food, sauteed potatoes and @yogitea with some avocado and veggies. As the spring went on, I still had my moments where I'd binge on a pizza or fried snickers at Canton but I began to crave the way this food made me feel. Slowly but surely these binges got fewer and further between, I still have my moments where I break and eat several thousand calories in a night but my body now has a much more intense reaction. Don't worry if you're not able to achieve the perfect diet, don't beat yourself up if you want to eat something that isn't clean. Educate yourself, learn what your body likes/dislikes, and make the choice if it's worth it to feel worse than normal. If not, here's what I recommend: Step 1: Invest in yourself and stock up on clean ingredients and organic produce Step 2: Subscribe to @fmtv_official or search YouTube for plant-based recipes and surround yourself with holistic-minded content to empower yourself (If you've got like-minded friends, share recipes and videos with them) Step 3: Take it one step at a time, don't worry about labeling yourself a vegan, vegetarian, or paleo and feeling like you have go against your will to fufill an image on Instagram.
