Day 21 Lieutenant General Thomas P Bostick General Bostick is #BlackExcellence personified! Born in Japan in 1956, Thomas Bostick was raised in a family with strong military backgrounds. Bostick would graduate from the Academy in 1978. This man’s record is so impressive that it would be futile to attempt to place it here. However, he became the 53rd Chief of Engineers and Commanding General of the US Army Corps of Engineers. He was only the second African-American to do so. However, if you read this man’s service record, you will find that to only be the tip of the iceberg. #WestPoint#blackhistorymonth#GoBeGreat
The most outstanding leaders know that their leadership ultimately isn’t about them. It’s about moving their team and / or their organisation forward. - When they do that, the side effect may well be recognition. - Today almost everyone knows who Jeff Bezos is, for example, but it’s not because he actively broadcasts his accomplishments. - It’s because his organisation, Amazon, has fundamentally changed the way many people live their lives, and it did so with the toil of leaders, order pickers, phone support workers, and truck drivers. - Leadership ultimately Isn’t about YOU!
