So I might have overdone it a little for today's challenge. I tried to really push myself for the hip thrusts bc Alexia said to only hit 3-5 reps on the last set and go up in weights. So I maxed out on my weights at home and also added ankle weights to the bar to increase bc I workout at home lol. That made it a total of 168lbs which is heavy for me. It felt ok so I actually did 10 reps and then felt dizzy afterwards 😬 I think I partly didn't eat enough before working out bc I just had a mini shake. I thought about stopping after that but felt better after resting a bit so did C1, C3, & C4. I felt a bit dumb for pushing myself that hard but seeing the pump did make me happy 🤣 #petitefitness pump

Counting macros is great because it allows you to indulge in 🍕 and 🍪 or whatever your so called “cheat” foods are and still lose weight as long as you stay within your calorie goal.⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ Sounds amazing doesn’t it?⁣🤔⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ But is it really ideal for YOU as a ?⁣🧐⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ I've already told you that women need smaller portions.. so won't it only make sense that we should also be cautious of the portion of our calories coming from refined foods?⁣???⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ The fact is, as a petite, you don’t have as large a margin for error with your calories.⁣🥺⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ IF 20% of your calories come from refined foods, you have to understand that your macronutrient and micronutrient intake will be so skewed.⁣🤯⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ And that’s why I would recommend a 90/10 approach to flexible dieting for the petite⁣!⁣☝🏼⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ It's definitely harder for us - but it's not impossible because I make it simple for you in my signature 1:1 coaching program where I take you from feeling like a victim to feeling in control⁣.⁣✊🏼👑⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ If you are a petite girl who's struggling to lose weight, take my quiz to see if macros is for you! Check out my neck vein, you can tell I'm working hard! Haha! I maxed out on my adjustable dumbells for the single arm rows at 24lbs. I also reached 18lbs for kneeling single arm press. Time to shop for a new set of dumbells! I wanted to talk about progress and motivation. How to stay motivated to keep going if you feel like you don't see results? Stop focusing so much on the aesthetics and focus on getting stronger. Progressive overload is so important and it's motivating to know I slowly but surely going up with my weights. I keep a log of my weights & reps and work hard to increase when I feel ready. Progress photos are great but I try not to take them too often bc sometimes you just get disappointed 🤷 Progress takes time. Find another motivation besides aesthetics if you want to keep going and be consistent. Focus on how you feel and your strengths and the results will follow. #petitefitness
