“If you want small changes in your life, work on your attitude. But if you want big and primary changes, work on your paradigm.” Dr Stephen R Covey’s words inspire us to swim upstream, explore newer horizons, and give us the power to reinvent ourselves. SME’s must reflect, on whether their compliance management model, conveys the right tone culturally, and whether it is working efficiently and effectively. Where the organisation is lagging in pace to external regulatory developments, the case for reinventing the compliance model becomes compelling. The illustration charts the three stages of improving the ‘compliance management’ model. management

GBP / USD The positioning of the dominant cable cycles could indicate to us what is the most probable outcome of the brexit referendum in March, in the meantime we also operate against the trend but in favor of the cycle, currently a sub-cycle is highlighted by the sine wave that can give an opportunity to short not to be underestimated because it would allow us to carry out a 1: 4 risk / return operation _______________________________________________________ GBP/USD Il posizionamento dei cicli dominanti del cable potrebbe indicarci quale sia il più probabile esito del referendum brexit a Marzo, nel frattempo noi operiamo anche contro trend ma a favore di ciclo, attualmente è evidenziato dalla sinusoide un sottociclo che può darsi una opportunità di short da non sottovalutare perché ci permetterebbe di effettuare in operazione rischio/rendimento 1:4 #riskmanagement

I come from an indigenous people who have lived on this continent for millennia who define themselves and see the world through the lens of sacred mountains. I have also become friends with people and made a community of those have made this deep connection to mountains through sport with more recent roots. In each of these identities I carry I am reminded about the power of mountains through ceremony and through the many objective hazards that this terrain presents to us as humans. Knowing and understanding a landscape, in all of its seasons, is a power and a connection that I maintain for myself as a Navajo person. Learning the technical aspects of a snowpack reminds me of how complex and unknown the natural world around us is and how limited we as humans to control it. Objectively speaking, the trajectory I have taken with my mountain adventures has brought me to the ragged edge of this boundary and at times I question if it’s worth it. - Uncertainty and the unknown is uncomfortable and can lead us too making poor decisions despite our best instincts and intentions – I should know since I studied risk psychology extensively in grad school. Encountering these risks I’m reminded of an influential book written by Mary Douglas & Aaron Wildavsky in 1982 titled “Risk and Culture: An Essay on the Selection of Technical and Environmental Dangers”. In this book it lays out the compelling case that how we as individuals and a society respond to risk (e.g. climate change, avalanches, trusting that fart) is influenced by the cultures that we are brought up in. As I like to say, our bodies are the hardware and our culture is the software. - A significant piece of what defines culture (according to anthropologist Clyde Kluckhohn) is how we view our position as humans in relation to nature. Namely this means whether we see ourselves as human living in submission, harmony, or in domination of nature. Consequently, this orientation is also a good predictor of the risks we are willing to take with nature. In the mountains I’m not opposed to taking informed risks. I’d like to think that this millennia of culture is guiding me when I’m out shredding the gnar.

Because of the ever changing cyber threat landscape and largely “unknown” attackers, is quickly becoming one of the biggest challenges we face. The damage and cost of cyber attacks continues to grow at an astronomical rate Cyber Security Ventures predicts that by 2021 the cost to combat cybercrime is estimated to be $6 trillion and cyber crime will be more profitable than the global trade of all major illegal drugs combined 👀
