Shoutout and #tbt to @cmandello91 who took a year off of climbing to focus on her career. Well guess what people?! Shheee’ss baaaaccckkk! AND I’M SO EXCITED! Christina was the first chick I ever climbed with and my favorite person to take big ass whips with. I’m really stoked to have her back in the climbing fold. We missed you! Get ready betch, we gonna send all the routes! 🤘🏻
Every time I talk to my 85 year old gramma, she asks me “but are you enjoying your life?” because in all of her years on this earth, she has taught me that, that’s what matters. Happy Tuesday friends! I hope today that you are overwhelmed with goodness and kindness. 😊 P.C. Shaney Poo (@shane.mclimbing)
Went up my first Red Rock multi pitch today with Shaney Poo (@shane.mclimbing)! It was miserably cold, but it was the fucking tits man! The second pitch on Lotta Balls was literally my nemesis, and I yelled and cursed that bullshit slab the entire time, but I prevailed and crushed those other pitches 💪🏻. Guys, I’m really diggin this trad climbing thing. Yay life!
This Saturday, November 10th at 8pm at @velveteenrabbitlv, @haley.sawtelle (@haleysawtellemusic) is having her very first EP release! Woo! She is an incredible singer-songwriter, and EVERYONE IS INVITED to come and watch her beautiful face and listen to her beautiful music! I’ll be walking around taking photos and drinking all the wine. Come party with us! #tbt to Haley looking hella buff and sending some shits. 💪🏻
One, when I first saw this photo I laughed, because sometimes I straight up climb like King Kong 😂. Two, the second thought that came through my mind was, “omg, dat ass tho”, but not in the good way. Real talk, I’m not a tiny, ripped climber chick that can wear just a sports bra with no fat rolls. I’ve got some fat rolls, an ass, and some long legs that are hard to lug up routes on occasion. I’m not ashamed of my 160lbs body, because I work damn hard for it, but self compassion is a daily challenge and I don’t always get it right. So, here’s to being kind to yourself, and to loving your body in all of its glory because LOOK AT HOW FUCKING BEAUTIFUL YOU ARE! I hope you say that to yourself the next time you glance in the mirror. You’re not alone in this fight. Be kind to yourself. 📸: @team_smell_bad #fuckaverage
Met up with @team_smell_bad to struggle on some boulders yesterday 🙌🏻. I really love connecting with people in real life, so if you follow me on the Insta and you’re in Red Rock this season, HIT ME UP. Let’s climb or get coffee or play pool or whatever your little heart desires... oh, and I get to take photos of your beautiful ass sending shit. Happy Monday friends!
I went out to Kraft today with reeaaallllyy low expectations. I haven’t climbed in weeks, so my goal was to try and send some easy peasy problems just to get a little stoke back. Yeeeaahhh.... my stoke came back and I found myself struggle bussing The Bathtub V5. Needless to say, I’m pretty fucking surprised I could get my ass off the ground, and I’m feeling really good about this whole bouldering thing the kids are doing these days. Catch me outside biiiittchesss! 💪🏻☀️ P.C. @team_smell_bad
In an attempt to keep my climbing stoke alive, I’m gonna try getting shut down on some boulder problems. I’ve got a guide book and a new 35mm lens I need some models for. Who’s going to Kraft today?! LET ME SHOOT YOUR BEAUTIFUL UGLY TRY HARD FACE. Bri (@gnarlygirlfitness) remember when we used to climb together? I miss you.
I’ve been a little quiet on the IG machine for a few days because my climbing stoke is down the shitter... which means I’m not out at the crag shooting. I absolutely LOVE climbing, and it has helped heal some serious broken parts of me, but lately when I think about hiking out to the crag to climb, anxiety takes over and I stay in my comfortable bubble of control. Anxiety is a real pain in the ass guys, so any book recommendations to inspire me or advice, I’m open. P.C. the magical @tearintaren
Grounding. I pride myself in being very logical and scientific, and typically I’ve resisted the pull to get all granola and “woo woo” with talking about energies and shit, buuuuut, I can’t deny the connection I feel to the earth and what being outside does for my soul. Guys, seriously, go hug a tree, or walk barefoot on wild ground, your body and spirit will thank you.
