Every month the Care4Girls Lilongwe team conducts a mentorship program at Chigoneka CDSS where we reach out to and mentor over 100 girls. This month it was in 21st February, 2018. During the mentorship program Felicia Monjeza talked about the importance of menstrual Hygiene n girls Education. Felicia encouraged the girls to always be prepared when they are close to their menstrual cycle by carrying a pad in their bag , asking for help from their teachers in case they are surprised and to also look out for one another so that no one misses classes because of menstruation. A question and answer session helped to assist the girls better. We want girls to handle every aspect of their lives with dignity, pride, confidence and excellence. #ForTheBenefitOfAll#Care4Girls#TeamMaestros#SDG3#SDG4#SDG5

Its a fact! menstruating girls face challenges that affect their physical and mental health, education and their safety and dignity. Improving MHM for girls will help combat those challenges! The Common goal is to have girls knowledgeable about and comfortable with their menstruation and are able to manage their menses in school in a comfortable, safe and dignified way. #Care4Girls#ForTheBenefitOfAll#TeamMaestros
The launch at Pirimiti Secondary School was no short of an awe-inspiring event. It's good to see when girls are realizing their full potential in life and slowly demystifying more especially menstrual related myths. Girls are faced with far greater social, health and economic risks than boys - we have to correct that imbalance. -Janet Mgawadere, Chanco Care4Girls Team Coordinator commenting on the Care4Girls Campaign at Piriminti in Zomba.
