We’re all a work in progress. Might as well enjoy the little pieces of the journey that you collect along the way. 🤷🏼♀️.. A friend of mine recently gave some great advice. 🙌🏻Comparison is the thief of joy.🙌🏻 I have a hard time with this one myself, but let’s try to be present today. That means not dwelling on how much is left before reaching your destination, whatever that may be. Be open and willing to change your perspective. Be ready to keep your eyes on your own race today, and no one else’s. I’ll wager you’ve come farther than you thought. Take pride in that and find happiness with where you’re at.✨ . You are incredible! You are on the adventure of a lifetime that only you get to experience. Revel in that. Be joyous in that knowledge. 📸 by the one and only @vmcragg
This photo was taken at the Paramount Ranch Western Town a couple weeks before I left LA. The Western Town that this church is a part of was built in 1927 and is a piece of Hollywood filmmaking history. It has served as the backdrop for countless films and TV shows since it’s construction 91 years ago. I was very sad to hear that the majority of the town burnt down in the Woolsey Fire this week. With it, the site of many memories of filmmakers, actors, and designers both past and present went up in smoke. My heart goes out to all who are effected by these fires and I pray everyone is taking measures to remain safe.. 📸 by @destroyinstagram
Took this #bathroomselfie @marysatl last night before the start of the Glitz show! It was incredible, 27 club themed, and co-hosted by my favorite queen and friend from way back @thin__mint_ (who you might just get to see explaining the rules of the Glitz shows if you swipe on over)😘 . She’s funny, she’s charming, she’s the hostess with the mostest, so if you haven’t caught a Glitz show yet... WHY THE HELL NOT?!
What’s better than a Georgia 🍑? Why, a Georgia VOTER✔️ of course! . Overwhelmingly proud of all my friends and family, across the country, who voted in the midterm elections today. We have the power to effect change and therefore the responsibility to use it. #HereComesTheChange #votesaveamerica #midtermsmatter #bluewave #democrat
Go VOTE today. Please please please. We need every vote we can get! I’ll be there later today, after my audition 😊 the lines may be long, but two more years of this shit will be longer. Get a good audiobook to pass the line time or something 🤷🏼♀️. See you at the polls!! #grabembythemidterms #democrat #bluewave

“Magic is really very simple. All you’ve got to do is want something, and then let yourself have it!” -Aggie Cromwell 🧙🏻♀️🎃👻 . Every year, since I was little, I’ve been infatuated with Halloweentown. I remember watching it as a little girl and wishing I could step onto that bus and be whisked away. I even remember going out on at least one Halloween (possibly 2 or 3) with my best friend from elementary school (looking at you, @lys___faye 😘) and standing with our hands clasped and our eyes shut tight, reciting the portal spell, trying to open the portal the way they do in Halloweentown II. To this day, I watch it every Halloween season. Anyone else have films or stories that affected them in such a way? I’d love to hear!
Some moments from ya girl’s first ever Atlanta Pride Festival 📸🌈✨. Where people gather to celebrate love and equality. Where people get down 💃🏼 and spread kindness in the streets. Where everyone gets equally shitty in their own way. 🥂🍾 Where everything is overpriced and the parade goes on for WAAYYY too long, but does it? 🤷🏼♀️ (any parade longer than 3 hours is too long) . Thanks friends, old and new, for letting me tag along 💕🙌🏻👯♀️
All my stuff arrived in Atlanta today! Thanks @amtrak 🙌🏻🚂📦. Now I’m just waiting to get into my apartment on the 7th so I have somewhere to put it all! 🏡🗓 Moving tip: if you’re moving kind of far and have a lot of clothes, books or other unbreakables to ship, use amtrak shipping. You can ship up to 500lbs. a day at under $1 a pound! (If you ship enough weight to outweigh the base cost.) Super easy and fast. Looks like I’m moving some boxes today 💪🏻. 📸 by @destroyinstagram
Today, after 3 years, I say see you later to Los Angeles and embark on a new journey back east. Very excited for the opportunity to work with a wonderful Atlanta agency both theatrically and commercially. Thank you to those who made LA home. I’ll see you soon ✌🏻✨. . . . . . 📸 by @vmcragg #keepmovingforward
I may have woken up to a killer ear infection, but my heart is so full today. Thank you to all the lovelies who came out to wish me happy trails last night. 🙏🏻 . I’ve come to realize Los Angeles is such a huge, spread out city that everyone has the ability to shape what “LA” they experience by what people they choose to surround themselves with. You are all such amazing individuals and have each helped shaped this wild ride over the last 3 years. LA has been my city of residence, but you have been my home. ✨💕 . . . . 📸 by @destroyinstagram
Today, a little over a year since we wrapped principal photography, we’ve finally finished pickup days on this little indie feature that could. Thank you to @tunnellightpictures for having the determination to make this, your flagship feature, as a company. @bernardblack1 , I am so beyond proud of you for putting your words out into the world. From the first day I read the script, it’s spoken to me. To my soul. You are my best friend, confidant, and such a kick-ass partner, both in acting and in my everyday. I’m so lucky to be sharing this journey of life and art with you. You push me to be better and still give me space to grow. I love you and am in awe, each day, of your talent and depth of empathy which are so apparent in this script and in every action you take. I’m blessed to watch you grow on this journey and am excited to keep cheering you on! @tyler_bourbon , I’m so proud of you for putting your drive and will to create meaningful art into motion. Your level of resourcefulness seems actually not possible to possess. Thank you for asking me to cold-read for Danielle. Thank you for believing in my vision of this character and giving me so much freedom to live in her shoes. It’s been such a pleasure to call you my director and now one of my best friends. To everyone else in the cast and crew, on any level, thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication 🙏🏻💕. I really think we’ve made a little bit of magic with this one ✨
I wait tables at an upscale restaurant here in LA, and Mac Miller was a fairly regular customer. The first time I waited on his table, I had less than zero clue who he was. He was with 3 friends, all around the same age. They started by ordering a $300 bottle of wine for the table. I almost asked him if he had checked the price of the bottle, thinking they were just young guys that didn’t have a clue, but thought “oh well, he ordered it. If he can’t afford it, it’s his funeral.” . . I got the bottle and we chatted while I opened and poured it at the table. They asked my name and then gave me theirs in return. Mac went last, and I thought he said Matt, which I proceeded to call him all night, very confidently I may add. Every time, the guys would smirk and laugh a bit. I just thought they were having a good time. Upon leaving they all thanked me by name. He left a generous tip and never corrected me once. . . After they left, the hostess was commenting on the famous rapper that had been there that night. I asked who and she said, “You know, Mac Miller, you served him on table 33” *facepalm* I was only thankful I hadn’t told him to double check the price of the wine. . Next time he came in, a couple weeks later, I walked up and said, “Hey. I had no idea.” He started laughing. He gave this big, bright, whole-hearted smile and said, “Hey, good to see you again! Oh man, it was so good. We thought it was so funny.” He even remembered my name. We had a good laugh over it. . From that day, every time he came in when I was working, he made sure to say hello as he walked by or before he left, even when he wasn’t sitting in my section. He never forgot my name. He may have been struggling with his own demons, but I’ll always remember him like this. Laughing and smiling and enjoying good food with his friends. . . My heart hurt when I walked into work last night and was asked, by the same hostess, if I’d heard that he died. I just saw him last week, and he smiled as he said goodbye to me, and walked out for the last time. . Hope you find peace, Mac. You were my favorite regular and it’ll never stop feeling like you’ll walk through the door. You really were the most dope.
This is my friend, @honki_ponki , and today was her last day at my favorite coffee shop in town. Masha’s worked there since the first day I walked through the doors, and it just won’t be the same without her knowing grin greeting me over the register. I love her ability to be who she is and not pretend to smile when she doesn’t want to, or make small talk when she’s too tired. It means I know the smiles and small talk she does share are always in earnest, and It’s hard to find people that genuine. . She’s on to bigger and better things (other than the new morning commute). Wishing her the best in all things to come ✌🏻✨💕. . . . . . . #girlboss #baristababes #counterculture #hcoffeehouse #management
