The #tiuworkout Manhattan Beach Booty giving me crazy hair. ☺ That was a good one @katrinaascott - forgot that I liked that one. Hoping for a favorites feature in the app to repeat the ones I like! 😉 Seriously though, I haven't shared much about the @toneitup Studio app, but I love the variety for the cost. And the On Demand let's me fit it into my goals and needs each day! It's so affordable (as one friend said, a Venti Starbucks less a month and you've got it paid for). But value isn't the only reason I've kept up with Tone It Up over the years. I've felt from day 1 that @karenadawn@katrinaascott make working out fun. Can't tell you how many workouts have had me laughing out loud. And after listening to Shawn Archer, fun is a key factor in getting the full benefits of working out! I serious enough myself, I need my time (workouts) to not just give me health but lighten my soul. There is a time for intense training, and I've done those seasons, but in the everyday, I'm all about the light hearted goodness. Happy Thursday! This is day 1 for me! Because I have leftovers and go on vacation in 4 days! We are eating what we have, and I'll dive into some new recipes the week after vacay! I already eyeing the ones I'm seeing people rav about! Lunch was a #leancleangreen salad with ede and eggs. Off to do my planned workout...yoga! Lunch time was my usual walk with the dog...wondering if I can convince hubby to go on a walk tonight. What's your guess??? 😂 Happy Monday! Xo, Liz 😘
I think I've learned a lot from some of my favorite health icons' podcasts! @maxlugavere@shawnmodel@drmarkhyman ~ look at this meal. Former salmon hater over here but learning to like it, because it matters! Add in some healthy oil on that salad via @primalkitchenfoods dressing and of course sprouts! Oh and look at those leafy greens. Second time today for a pile of those greens! Bottom line, I'm choosing to feed my brain and enjoy it too. Healthy food is satisfying and tasty! And biggest benefit, it's powerful for disease prevention and gene expression! Happy Thursday! Xo, Liz 😘
Meals today were so good and so lean, clean and green. Give me all the veggies. I get a lot of people who ask questions about changing how they eat, so here are some of my top suggestions. Eat less dairy or no dairy. Eat way more veggies than you think you should and then double it! Really! We don't even eat close to how much we should in our American diet. Limit processed foods so much they are the exception and aren't stocked in your pantry. This goes for things disguised as healthy like "veggie" chips. Eat loads of fiber and limit the starchy carbs (even the plant ones like corn) and limit sugar (even the clean ones). I'm not saying don't eat starches or honey, we do. But they should be a smaller part of your diet. And big tip... Eat high quality fats daily like avocados and olive oil and egg yolks. So much research about the brain health benefits of eating these fats. The fat in donuts not so much. Note I said high quality. And finally, eat more veggies! Did I say that already and yes, I'll say it again. Plant based is where it's at for optimal health! Happy Monday! Brunch on the deck is the best kind of brunch. And hickory smoked bacon in the air fryer took it up a few notches. Slow morning not by design, just happened and what we needed. Coffee on the patio, workout, 3 mile walk with the dog, brunch. 💯 Happy Saturday! Xo, Liz 😘

Easy meals today (and most days). Lunch ~ chicken patties, roasted cauliflower (#airfryer), sweet potato, avocado. Swipe for Dinner ~ tuna, @primalkitchenfoods Chipotle lime mayo on sprouted bread, @so_delicious Coconut milk cheese (#dairyfree) with a side of air fryer cabbage. Why? Because it was left from meal prep and my goal is to try the air fryer as many ways as possible. I used my air fryer today for lunch, meal prep and dinner! And it's now found a permanent place on my counter. In other home life updates ... A little more progress on catching up at home. That feels good. 👊 Happy Sunday! Xo, Liz 😘
It's been over nine years since I left behind a chronically poor lifestyle. Yes, the journey started out with a desire to reign in the weight I was gaining and emotional eating, but ultimately it became about my health, strength and energy. There have been bumps in the road, but the journey has kept heading in the right direction. And I'm so thankful for what I've learned about healthy eating, movement, mindfulness and what healthy living really means to me. We see a lot of transformation posts, and I think it's easy when we hear the word transformation to think "quick" but truly transforming takes time and depth. So if you are discouraged with your transformation. First of all, don't focus on the outward as much as what needs to happen inside to make the changes. Keep heading in the right direction. Go deep and find a reason other than the scale to keep pursuing a healthy lifestyle. It's worth it! 👊 And thank you to my #tiuteam and #tiuindianastrong ladies for all the encouragement! What a difference a community of encouragers makes! 😘 #tiutransformation
