I AM MOVING TO LA ! 🏄🏼♀️☀️🌴 I have big news! Over the next four months I’ll be shooting a TV pilot for a major broadcast network. That’s means I’m moving to LA for a little while! I sworn to secrecy and cannot share any details, but can tell you it’s a chance of a lifetime and one of my greatest dres coming to life. Its all on the DREAM BOARD! First real spring weekend in NYC ⚡️⚡️ Coming out of that NYC winter and excited to see what this next season holds for me. I feel refreshed, grounded, loved, and energized. Shoutout to my F L Y 💕 T R I B E . Got to crossover with @katehickl and @natortiz_ this morning and get a dose of positivity. I don’t think most people understand the amount of preparation and energy it takes to teach multiple classes every week. There are times when I feel like I’ve given all my energy to everyone else, saving very little for myself. That being said, I wouldn’t change a thing. C A L I F O R N I A 🌴☀️ D R E A M I N G Kinda crazy how different a place can look and feel when you’re with someone you love. @jenniford1 and I had a magical time in California this past weekend. From the beaches in Malibu to the twists and turns on the cliff-hanging drives into Topanga Canyon, we loved this little adventure. We can’t wait to come back.. 🐠What are your fave spots in Cali?
If at first you don’t succeed...😂 🗣 Sound ON for these bloopers. Spent the weekend hiking in Malibu ☀️🌴and put together a quick little workout at the top with @jenniford1 for you. Step one: Run 2 miles straight up. Step two: grab a partner and do the following drills: 1. Alternating Squat Jumps (60s). 2. Step Back Lunges (60s). 3. Partner plank jumps (30s each). 4. F L E X I N in our Forties + Fifties. 💪🏽☀️💙 Nothing to see over here 💪🏽 just a bunch of badass in their 40s and 50s. It’s still hard for me to believe I’m in my forties. I’m surrounded by badass women in their 40s, 50s and 60s! This is a new era and women don’t plan on slowing down. I committed to lifelong education and intend to coach us all the way baby!!!! By the way @bocaresort is one of the most beautiful resorts I’ve visited and I’m so excited to be teaching LIFTED as a resident artist! I’ll be sure to let you know next time I’m visiting! 💪🏽☀️🏖. Finisher by the birthday girl @ddark35 🎂 End of workout burn. 20 reps of each exercise. Three rounds. 1. Battling Ropes - Alternating Waves (40 total) 2. Split Jumps 3. Bicycles (two elbow taps = 1 rep) Rest for one minute > r e p e a t > twice. It’s called a finisher for a reason. It’s exhausting and taxing on the central nervous system. I like leaving the gym sweaty and with my heart beating out of my chest - FINISHED!
Keeping things B A S I C + S T R O N G ✔️ I use moves that challenge my to get stronger. Nothing fancy. Just hard work. Here’s your workout: Do 4-5 rounds of 10 reps per exercise. • Dumbbell Bench Press (upper push) • Dumbbell Thrusters (upper+lower push) • One Arm Row (upper pull - 10 reps each side) I did all three exercises with 30lb dumbbells. Here’s your WORKOUT 🏋🏼♀️ 🙌🏼⚡️💙⚡️ Grab a Kettlebell and a set of sliders. If you don’t have sliders, use a towel. Four Movements ➖ AMRAP In 20 minutes 1. 16 Kettlebell Swings (I used 42 lbs) 2. 10 Slider Reverse Lunges (each leg) 3. 16 KB Squats (I used 42 lbs) 4. 10 Slider Pikes AMRAP = “As Many Rounds As Possible”. • Put a 🙌🏼 below if you plan on doing this workout. • Big THANK YOU to @crunchtribeca for my membership. Here’s the truth: Nobody’s gonna do it for you. It’s gotta start with a flame deep inside of you that you fan every damn day. No one can convince you. No one can do the work for you. I learned this lesson early in life. There are no shortcuts to your dreams. Work hard and then work harder. Take an obstacle and let it MOVE you to be better than anyone could have ever imagined, day in and day out. Decide if it’s worth it. And then SHOW UP. Those freezing cold hours under the hoop in Nebraska are no different than the hours of work I put into my dreams now. This International Women’s Day I’m honoring a woman who lights up my life, every single day. This beautiful soul beat cancer, started a non-profit that brings yoga into under-served public schools (@bentonlearning) and is the most loving and patient mom on the planet. The key to my success: K. I. S. S. 💋💋 Keep It Stupid Simple. I train a fraction of the amount of time I used to train and I’m in the best of my life. I get in the gym, FOCUS, go hard as hell, and keep it SIMPLE. • Here’s a simple routine you can do with a Kettlebell. Four moves. That’s it. 1. Single Arm Overhead Push Press. 2. Heavy Russian Twists. 3. Single Arm Overhead Snatch. 4. Single Arm Overhead Walking Lunge. Do each exercise 10 reps per side. Do AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) in 20 minutes. Notice: this workout forces your out of balance with unilateral work >> great core conditioning. PRO TIP: Have a gym that’s easy to get to because convenience breeds habit. I use @crunchtribeca. My Valentine ❤️. Hard to believe that not so long ago I thought I wasn’t a relationship person. When @jenniford1 first walked into my life, the timing wasn’t right. I wasn’t available in any capacity. Six months later we met again, both of our lives in places where we were ready and open to love and to building a relationship. From that day forward > I can’t not be with her. This love is stronger than I could have ever imagined. Believe in the timing and the magic of love. It happens when you are ready and the timing is right!

INTUITIVE EATING 🔜 ABS I constantly asked to share my eating habits with my followers and clients. I have experimented with many styles of eating and "diets" over the years. I have also spoken to many clients and professionals about their experiences. What I’ve landed on and what’s been working the best for me is eating intuitively. • For me, the more rules around what I can’t have or when I have to eat, the less likely I to be consistent. I’m at my best when I’m not over-thinking the process and I’m listening to my . THAT is when I feel my happiest, my leanest and my BEST. • I believe that at the root of healthy habits is intuition and mindfulness. Of course there are other guiding principals, but begin with things like honoring your hunger, rejecting the diet mentality and respecting your fullness. THAT is a great place to start. ✔️Spend time with my F A M I L Y 💜 I made a commitment to make my family a top priority this year. So far, so good! It can be hard for us because we live FAR away from other! • It’s sometimes hard to believe that we started in the farmlands of KANSAS! 🌾🌾 • My brother John and his partner of 13 years (Stephanie) just moved to Playacar, Mexico with their two dogs and two cats. • My brother Bryan moved to Thailand over ten years ago and recently moved from Krabi to Chiang Mai. • My parents moved to the Dominican Republic over ten years ago, spend their winters there and their summers in their RV. Next stop: ALASKA! • My sister is currently spending the entire month surfing in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. • My babe, @jenniford1 fits right in as she loves this nomadic lifestyle just as much as the rest of us.
