I’m not the only one that just stares at her all day 💕 when she cries winni starts kissing her toes to try to calm her down (it doesn’t work haha). also thank you to everyone who told us to bring home her hat from the hospital! it really worked and he was comfortable with her right away 💛

3 women and a baby 💕 I’m so grateful to have known these babes for over 15 years...and now Bella gets the strongest, most kind-hearted and loving aunties in the world ✨ ps... watched 3 men and a baby the other night with Brian and it’s hysterical watching it now 🍼
this year I have a whole new appreciation for my birthday and what it’s all about 💛 mom... it took me until now to truly appreciate that it’s the day you gave birth and brought me into this world. seriously though~ every other year I’ve just celebrated with a party, cake, wine (lots of wineee) and you’ve of course called me to wish me a happy birthday. I think what I should have been doing all along is calling you and saying thank YOUUUU!!! I’m realizing more and more every day the sacrifice, hard work, and love you poured into being a mom and I just want to say I get it...well kind of— I’m only 2 weeks into this mommyhood thing and wow you are superwoman). today I’m celebrating YOU and the day we met. I love you so much @mamma_janie. PS. how amazing is that your mamma Isabelle was there for my birth and you were in the delivery room for baby Isabelle’s 💞 PSS...love you too dad 🤗🤗 I’ll be having a glass of wine tonight for you!!! the whole daddy this is no joke too. Xxxo 🎂🍷
her smile melts my heart 😩💗 I can’t even imagine when she says her first word...
ok confession... I had NO CLUE how much work feeding the babe would be. sure I heard it would be a lot of work— I’d be tired, delirious, and she would be attached to the boob (very tender boobs I should add), but wow ~ shoutout to all the moms (and dads!) out there breastfeeding, bottlefeeding, formula feeding, and just taking care of a little human around the clock. Today I’m sharing just seconds of each of our feedings on my IG story. Each one is about every 2 (occasionally 3) hours and takes about 40 minutes and once she’s all cleaned up, diaper changed, and I get a moment to eat something, chugggg water, or do anything at all, it’s been an hour and it’s time to feed again! guess I’m just sharing this bc I have so much respect for all the parents out there. I had no idea it would be 8+ hours attached to the bod— and those nightshifts 😳. It’s all amazing/beautiful and hard at the same time. also thanks everyone for the tips on nipple butters, the haakaa letdown catcher, shower massaging to prevent mastitis, the boppy pillow, and little things like remembering to have water next to you while you feed~ it’s all so helpful. any tips on keeping up with healthy snacks and meals? I made the pumpkin muffins from the @toneitupnutrition plan yesterday (they have lots of oats in them which is great for 🍼) and I’ve already eaten almost all of them. 5 may have been consumed at 1 and 4am 🤷🏼♀️
my lil bear cub 🐻 on Friday my girlfriend Jen shot newborn pictures of Bella and I jumped in a couple pics with her too! I realized I only had breastfeeding selfies the first week of her being home...is that normal? 🤷🏼♀️ Lol. Swipe left to see my outfit— I chose one that I actually bought for our babymoon because it hugged my bump~ and it still does! for all my new mamas out there...it’s totally normal to look pregnant after giving birth 💛 your tummy was stretched for 9 months, so it’s going to take a little bit for your body to adjust to not being pregnant anymore. things like breastfeeding, belly bands, and pelvic floor exercises (the kind that I showed you during pregnancy) can help before we’re cleared to workout. remember to wear your tummy oil still too! most importantly tho~ just be kind and patient with yourself mama! you’re beautiful 💕 thanks again @j_stadt 📸 so excited to have these memories capture for Bella 💫
I’ve been wanting to share this & I finally have my hands free! 💞Baby girl is all fed, diaper is changed, and she’s fast asleep...and my diaper is changed too...yup lol. So here it is...this is me just before I got pregnant vs 6 days after giving birth 💞 on the left I felt like I was the strongest & most in shape I had ever been— but wow was I wrong. I had no idea what I was capable of. I’m so much more proud of the body on the right. I fought harder for it, sacrificed so much more, embraced every day as it came, surrendered to all the change, pushed through the hard days & challenges with a smile on my face & kept a positive perspective when things got tough, worked harder than I ever have— at work & at home and on my mind, body, & soul, listened to my intuition and what was best for the little miracle growing inside me, and most of all— I showed myself how truly amazing the female body is. I appreciate and love my body & all that it has done more than I ever have before. I wanted to film this and share exactly where I’m at with you bc I don’t want anyone to ever think things are ‘perfect’. I weighed myself (I wouldn’t have done this, but I want to share in case any of you ever feel discouraged leaving the hospital after birth) I went in weighing 175 (up 40lbs) and left with a 7 pound baby in my arms weighing 165. I don’t recommend weighing yourself, but I want you to know that this is completely normal. We don’t leave all the baby weight at the hospital! We have a new journey ahead of us and it’s going to take self-love, patience, & kindness. I kept hearing from moms that when you get home you don’t recognize yourself or your body anymore and I want to make that okay. Let’s not be the same— let’s be different...let’s be stronger 💪 Do I want the body on the left? No~ I’m not the same girl. I’m capable of so much more now and I’m excited for my new body and what the future holds ~ tiger stripes 🐯, dimples and all! Please take a moment & tag a mom below and let her know how freaking beautiful, amazing, & remarkable she is 💫 Check in with her and ask if there’s anything she needs for her own goals, because u never know if she needs it 💛 love u girls
