"Irene where are you taking me???" . . Why on an adventure Krystina. To the trash filled wash of Henderson, NV, to find not wet sandstone to climb on... And look! I brought this lantern for you to pose with! @chalkfox questions our friendship as she follows me into the abyss...
I'm fine. It's the biggest lie I tell. So many wonderful things are happening for me, but if I didn't tell you there was not a huge down side to it all, it would just be another lie, and fall into the trap of the unreality of social media. Juggling two jobs and meeting everyone's needs, have left very little space for my own. My resolution was to be happier than I was last year, and I am failing terribly. I've been dealing with some very tough very broad questions like "why am I doing this" "is this all worth it" "what does this career mean?". Situations pile on top of situations and you end up carrying more than you thought you ever could. I am working to find a balance. To be a better coworker, family member, and friend. So this post will have no hashtags and no comments, because this is for me. This is an acknowledgement. This is the start of change.
So this year there will be no Red Rock Rendezvous. Instead Jonathan Siegrist and the @southernnevadaclimbers will be putting on Red Rock Rehab, a two-day service project weekend with two community nights which will include presentations by @jonathansiegrist, @sheneenagins, @bradgobright, @cannonjtc, and me! Come out, have a blast, and do some awesome work for the community! Click the link in my bio for more info and to sign up! Beautiful poster art by @marina_inaway
Thank you to the amazing women who have taught me that BEAUTY IS NEVER ON THE OUTSIDE
Sometimes your barrier to entry is simply no one believing you. So you might as well be unequivocally you. Don't show them that you belong. Make them know they belong with you. Lindsey, @hamminator2017, a guide who does it her own way, climbing at Roobers Roost.
