Brown was appointed district attorney of Queens County in 1991 by Gov. Mario Cuomo. He was then elected to six terms in office and served for nearly 28 years. Brown died Saturday at age 86. New York State Courts Sergeant Robert McGuinness demonstrating an AED device to fourteen fifth grade students and three of their teachers from Brooklyn Jesuit Prep as they visited the new Court Officers Academy on April 4th, 2019. The students and teachers came by to thank McGuinness and Sergeant Ariana Flores who visited the school in March as part the school’s Annual Career Day.
