Four years ago I asked a few of my close friends to tell me their favorite cereal combinations. Their answers became our Signature Specials menu at Kith Treats. If you look at the menu, you’ll see that there’s no ingredient mentioned more frequently than Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Since I can never have just one cereal at a time, I was honored when General Mills gave me their blessing to infuse their classic cinnamon formula with my own combination of flavors. It’s crazy to think I left David Z 9 years ago to start the Kith brand and shop. In the eight years we’ve been open, we have built an amazing following of people who want quality products and who trust us in our growth and vision. As I have aged and matured, so has the shop and brand. My standard for quality has gone up over time and as I wear all of this product, I feel good knowing that people can share that same feeling obsessing over goods. The fact that we have a successful Classics category means a lot to me for a few reasons but mostly because I know it takes a lot to trust a brand for necessities. We all work extremely hard and I believe we have some of the most talented people on our team. Designing and producing what we believe is the best in class for these categories is what we hope translates through the product you wear. Because at the end of the day, product is king. Thank you for riding with us and making this possible. 🙏🏼 Kith Classics will release this Friday 4/19 at all Kith shops and online at Kith.com.

For the past few years I’ve had this idea to tell a large color story through a collection. The idea stemmed from my nostalgia for retro athletics and what it was like to shop from catalogs when I was growing up. When thinking about US heritage athletic brands that helped inspire this concept, my mind always ran to Russell, the inventor of the original sweatshirt. So last year we sat down and spoke about our brands, our similarities and our differences, and I knew that in Russell we had the best partner to not only achieve this concept, but to make incredible product. When I began to tell them my idea behind color and cities, they brought out some of their vintage catalogs and that’s when everything clicked. These are scans of some of the catalogs from that day. I told Russell that I had a specific texture in mind for the fleece and that I wanted Kith to produce it. They trusted the vision, and a year later we came back to show them the perfect fleece for this moment. Heavyweight 14oz dry fleece with a super plush reverse side, custom developed in the US. Fast forward to now and we have developed a 96-piece collection. Hoodies, crewnecks, tees, and shorts all in 24 different colors with different logo executions, washes, and more. To celebrate Air Max Day 2019, we’ve worked with Nike to offer a special NikeLab 21M Bespoke iD experience with materials and color palettes that I have personally curated. The drawing begins today at our SoHo and Brooklyn flagship stores, inquire inside on how to enter. The drawing lasts from today through 3/24 where we will select 3 lucky winners to receive this free experience. Also, as part of Nike’s Give Fresh Air Initiative, we have set up donation boxes for sneakers at both stores. All donations will be given to Soles 4 Souls who provide clothing to impoverished youth across the globe. Winners will be contacted on 3/25 for their 1-on-1 session with a Nike designer at our SoHo store on 3/26.
