Aiming to be something you're not happy with being? - The first picture I'm struggling but striving to try and get the bikini butt pose..... Let's face it Im pretty shit at it.... It then again trying to be a biki I girl just wouldn't make me happy - I'm happy being thicker, with more muscle and I like flexing...... 😂 Do I don't look as pretty as the bikini girls and believe me they are gorgeous! But it wouldn't make me happy to be one and it wouldn't suit me either - Do what makes you happy and not what social media poses point out every day. Many a time I come across people who say they “Hate” prep, or “hate” their diet or dieting approach - The thing is m, if you HATE something you’re not going to be consistent at it, and lacking of consistency is what stalls progress or stops it in its tracks altogether - If you want to change your physique then you have to find a way to do it that you can be consistent over time....hence “THE JOURNEY” - If you discover that your journey is a road that you dislike....then your journey is over before it’s even begun - - - - -

Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable - You know I’ve used this saying 1000 times before and it can be used in so many different contexts. - In this manner I am UNCOMFORTABLE AF in this position because of my ankles, my shoulders and my hips, however to actually increase and improve my ROM in all of the above, I have to work at it - By doing the “Boring bits” of the workout like stretches, like empty bar work, like hangs etc I have managed to improve all lifts and depth by a hell of a lot. - Don’t ever neglect your “Boring bits”, these are the bits that keep your body moving the way it should and keep it healthier for longer. - Shout out to @cw1_crossfit for the epic photo and the immense mobility tips 👌🏼 - - - - -

When you're so oooo pissed off that the lift doesn't go well.... - One thing I've learnt is that when you get pissed off that a lift doesnt go well you can kick, moan and tear your belt off every time and yet what did it do? How did it help? Did the lift magically get better? Did your mood elevate and you got happy again? NOPE.... you can't change what just happened so get over it - You can't change what happened in the past oy what will happen in the future so get passed the lift, walk away, shake off and try again. - Pobody's Nerfect.... The strict press - even though I casually pressed a PR this morning of 6.5kgs more than my official NW record.... My strict press still sucks donkey balls 😂 - I hate this move like seriously hate it. I e been trying to get a 40kgs strict press for years and it just never gets past 38.5kgs.....sk what do I do... Give up? Throw the bar on the floor and kick it? Decide I don't need the strict press and give into an easier exercise that I know I can progress.... Until I can't.... - Nope, I just pick it up, and say that it takes Time to progress that move... It ain't easy.... Nothing is! - Approach a sticking point in a lift the same way you would anything... Take a step back, gather yourself, try again, use different methods than you tried before. Sure it may take a little longer but If you throw in the towel you'll NEVER get there - - - - -

Having a spotter when the bar gets heavy _ I had a very over enthusiastic spotter to give me that added safety net as a just in case. - The fact is I Knew I could lift this weight and yet the idea of Not having a safety net made me think I couldn't do it - Just having that person there as a "just in case" really does help. Have that person who has your back even when you don't need it, the support of someone just being present is more than anyone ever needs - - - - -

When you pretend to be a bodybuilder that can do a most muscular 🤣🤣👌🏼 — The off-season can be a funny thing, some people blow up and focus on the “gains”, but inside they berate them selves for having all the cake, cookies and ice cream and then try and pull back and have a mini cut to make themselves feel better. - Other stay stage lean too long and then mini cut again for fear of loosing abs. - How about how you feel mentally? Walking off stage without any kind of focus or support is fucking hard! Mentally you feel “lost” and without an immediate goal what’s the point? - Why not focus on improving performance, productivity, relationships, overall stability and health? THAT should be the immediate goal? - I LOVE the way I feel right now, my performance is high, I’m strong, my recovery is good, my sleep is still shit it you can’t have everything! It mentally I’m SOUND! - I’m focused on so many things that aren’t to do with my physique right now because somethings are much more important — — — —
