What would a healthy person do?! In doubt, if you want to be healthy, ask yourself what would a healthy person do.⠀ ⠀ Would a healthy person stay at work late or finish work and go for a workout? Would a healthy person skip lunch or eat a well balanced meal? ⠀ ⠀ If you act like the healthy person you want to be long enough, eventually you will become that person.
Am I milking the puppy pictures?! Absolutely! Hustler = entrepreneur⠀ ⠀ Because with little resources and on our own...⠀ 👏 we make it work⠀ 👏 We make it last⠀ 👏 We make it due!⠀ ⠀ So hey, puppy pictures, old pictures, weird pictures...you go for it girl!
If your assumption is that some kind of institution is going to come and create the boundaries of healthy living for us, let me tell you: they won’t. ⠀ ⠀ We have to figure out and come to terms that we need to set those boundaries for ourselves!⠀ ⠀ This is the new barometer of success, wellness, and gratitude: ⠀ ⠀ How well can you create your own ways to shut down the distractions? ⠀ ⠀ How well can you reduce the toggling, stem the tide of frazzling data, and carve out space in your week for reflection and stillness?⠀ ⠀ Build your health by setting your own boundaries. That way you build your world, and not the other way around.
Throw back to hiking with my girl pal!⠀ ⠀ Here is a good habit I prioritize in my life: to hike and connect with nature at least once a week. ⠀ ⠀ It’s proven that time around nature humanizes us, puts us in stress free mode (parasympathetic), and better oxygenate our bodies. ⠀ ⠀ Don’t have state parks around you?! Think of nature as any mountain, hill, city park, oceanfront, backyard, or garden! Can’t hike?! Go for a walk anywhere, anytime. ⠀ ⠀ In my old corporate days a walk to my friends’ desk or to the next door building sometimes would do 😏😉. Remember @gcbeer_evans@sgaar_13@finding_nino_k ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

Fear of losing the weight and gaining it all over again? Fear of being great and then letting yourself go?⠀ ⠀ Every step towards change is a step forward. Even if you find yourself back to your perceived starting line you are not failing. You had to go back there to learn a few other lessons of the journey and to realize how far you have already gone. ⠀ ⠀ I can’t remember how many times I’ve failed to say no to the food that I KNEW was going to hurt my stomach. But I had to go through the of my bad habits many and many times so I could learn it wasn’t worth it. ⠀ ⠀ So don’t fear how far or for how long you can go. Fear never going, never trying, never taking the first step.
Sometimes the hardest thing is to go back to basics and to repeat the known. I guilty of always wanting a new challenge, a new set of movements, a new flow. ⠀ ⠀ But hey how can you measure progress if you are always doing something different? ⠀ ⠀ As masters of none we might never take the time to appreciate how far we’ve come on the basics. ⠀ ⠀ So every now and then I love to go back to those first steps in my fitness journey. That’s right, it all started with some good ol’ sun salutations. ⠀ ⠀ Where did it all start for you?! Take today or tomorrow and practice those steps again. How does it feel?!
The word I picked to guide me this year was “connection”.⠀ ⠀ Connection - to myself, first and foremost. I spent too much time last year on my business and showing up for others that in 2019 I have intentionally made decisions to preserve my “me time” and my emotional energy.⠀ ⠀ Connection - to others. I love giving to my community, but in these past months I’ve been very intentional with the people I choose to spend my time with. I love my friends and fily so I prioritize time with them and in turn I get so much energy and love back. ⠀ ⠀ Connection - to my clients and to the health professionals that push me to grow. I open to learning even as I age and to be better at being me everyday. ⠀ ⠀ The cool unexpected result of this intentional word behind each one of my choices this year has been the positive and cascading feedback loop of feeling in tune with my true self ➡️ loving myself ➡️ allowing myself to recharge ➡️ and showing up to others as myself 🔁. ⠀ ⠀ What was the word or intention you picked for this year?! Are you living up to it?! You still have plenty of time to bring it back to your life.
Have you checked my thighs in this photo? Are they skinny enough for you, or are they too strong?! Did you imagine I was wearing a shirt because I was probably bloated that day? Or Do you think I don’t really have a six pack to show?!⠀ ⠀ Have you checked and judged yourself in the mirror today? Did you look just ok or did you give yourself the usual self loathing talk? ⠀ ⠀ Have you checked your thoughts today? From the time you woke up, we’re you ready for this day? Were you ready for your schedule, your tasks, your responsibilities?! ⠀ ⠀ Were you also ready for the smile you got from the stranger, the kind note you got from a coworker, or the nice text from your friend?⠀ ⠀ You need time my friend. Time to reconnect with yourself, with your body, and with the things that feed your soul. And may I suggest, start from sleeping more and looking to others less.⠀ ⠀
Happy to celebrate our progress as a society for valuing the feminine, the nurturing, the ying (quiet) power in this world. We are finally comfortable being ourselves and maybe not so quiet anymore! ⠀ ⠀ Ladies, what is the power you are most proud of owning? I love that when I passionate about something I ALL IN! 😍💪 ⠀
"QUIT THE BS" - said your as you looked away⠀ "QUIT IT, I BEG YOU" - ...⠀ ⠀ At some point, you will have do something about it, or it will be too late. No has time for too late! So when you decide to do something about it look nowhere else but to yourself. Listen to that or yours. It speaks to you every day!⠀ ⠀ So do yourself a favor and listen to your !⠀ ⠀ I currently working with a client to rediscover her 's languages, signs, and trails. Her 's language is all unique to herself and her biology, as my own "'s language" is unique to mine. We can fall in love with that language once we learn it because only we can respond back to ourselves by being nurturing to the . ⠀ ⠀ So don't let it be too late. Rediscover, listen, and grow with your .
